"The result's pretty good. Our opponent may have scored while playing away but we've still got a head start. We should have the upper hand in the rematch once we've scored a goal. I'm sure a 3-1 win will be good enough for the replay and we'll advance further," said Petr.
He was pleased by the team's performance in general, however he had particular words of praise for Torres. "Fernando was amazing. He scored twice which is beneficial not only for us as a team, but for him personally. It'll boost his confidence again," admitted Petr.
Despite this being the third game this week for the Blues, they coped with it well. "After a hard FA Cup game we managed switch over quickly and focus on the Europa League. Our manager altered the line-up a bit, which was inevitable. Nevertheless we still had the game under control, beside a couple of longshots Kazan didn't really put up much of a fight."
The replay will take place next Thursday on an artificial grass field in Moscow. "We're playing Sunderland on Sunday and so we're going to get a bit of recovery time in between. We're glad we're playing in Moscow, it's not too far away," added Petr.
