As Chelsea players have been scattered all around the world with their national teams, the changing rooms have been emptier than usual. "Everyone headed back on Wednesday, our first training's today. It's no big deal for Chelsea, though, it's up to the manager to cope with such absences. I just hope everyone gets rejoins us in a good shape," added Petr.
He led the Czech national team as team captain in the last two qualification games and despite the fact that the team ultimately lost their chances for a play-off, they managed to acquire six points. "We all knew it would be a matter of luck. No miracles ended up taking place, but we'd lost our qualification chances a long time ago. Especially in certain home games we should have won but didn't."
