First clean sheet at Nou Camp
Chelsea have retained the opportunity to advance to the second Champions League final consequently as they played 0-0 at Barcelona.
PETR CECH significantly helped to keep the goalless draw during the match and became the first keeper who left Nou Camp with the clean sheet in this season.
"The result is very positive for the team. We deserved it due to good and responsible defence and due to the great work we had left on the pitch," said Petr after the match.
The Blues number one had three important saves during the game. First, Big Pete tipped away Thierry Henry's hard attempt in the end of the half.
Second, the Czech International stopped with his left leg Samuel Eto'o shot resulting from the striker's stunning run through the pitch.
Finally, the Chelsea goalie jumped to deny Hleb's chance in the injury time.
"It is hard to say which situation was more difficult. Against Eto'o the timing was crucial as well as staying on the feet and not going down.
"In the second chance I had to get to the ball before Hleb to avoid the penalty kick," claimed the hero of the game.
The second leg against Barcelona will be played at Stamford Bridge on May, 6.
