First days at Arsenal: training sessions, jersey number 33 and a trip to Singapore

“It’s too early to say anything specific as I’ve only been training for three days. But everything’s going according to plan and I’m liking the new environment. The first day involved some tests and a training session, on Saturday we had two sessions and after today’s we’re leaving straight away,” Petr described.
“I’m glad to be able to join the team right from the beginning of pre-season prep. This way there’s going to be a lot of time to get to know everything and everyone. So far everything’s been great. I’ve met the people in charge of managing the team’s affairs. I’m really looking forward to working with Arsenal,” Petr said. He chose jersey number 33 at his new club. “I’m 33 years old and I’ve played 333 matches in the Premier League, so it was an easy pick, really,” Petr pointed out with a smile.
Today he is to depart for Singapore for the Barclays Asia Trophy tournament, where he is due to consummate his career for the Gunners. “I’ve never been to Singapore before, so I’m really excited. Also because it’ll be my first game for Arsenal. We’ll be facing Singapore All Stars first and then we’ll be playing Stoke or Everton,” Petr added.
