Four-Goal Win in Sunderland

After positioning the ball to his side Petr interfered – a manoeuvre for which he received a yellow card. Defoe then went on to score from a penalty. “There wasn’t too much I could do. I guess I helped them equalise by that penalty. But all that did was make us try even harder. We did a fantastic job, scored another three goals and pocketed a well-deserved win.”

The Gunners presently occupy the second spot of the table, however they hold the same amount of points as leading Manchester City and third Liverpool. It is merely the score which separates the first three clubs of the table.
