I mainly want to wish Petr good health, because he still has great passion for football, verve and desire to make it big. The best-case scenario would be if he captained Arsenal to the long-awaited Premier League title next season and got them to the Champions League final too. That’s why he came to Arsenal: to play big games against big clubs. The harder the game, the better for Petr – he’s always loved those. It doesn’t feel like he’s 35 years old. I know him well; for him, it’s just a number. He’s playful, he loves spending his time with children, he’s up to any challenge. He loves trying new things, he’s competitive. I’ve been with him since he was sixteen, and he still has great sense of humour and an unlimited supply of jokes. Despite being a global footballing star, he’s still just a normal guy. This will make it easier for him when he retires. He’s got great judgment, he’s not superficial, he has great foresight and always analyses every situation that’s coming. I think when he retires he will still want to stay in football environment. He’s got great knowledge of club football, and that’s where I see him. If I had my own club, I’d want him there. But that’s still far away. Right now he’s focusing on winning with Arsenal. He loves to win, he’s motivated, he wants to be successful. And this doesn’t change with age.
