Hurray for school! Petr is excited again

12th year!

„If a man can make children happy and see their enthusiasm that they genuinely enjoy it, it charges me with positive energy,“ Petr says.

The academy will take place in the Sparta Prague training grounds in Strahov as usually, however, this year for the first time the Football Academy of Petr Cech will be introduced in Zruč near Plzeň as well. Petr will visit both camps in person. The project starts on Friday 30th June already!

„I´m glad we´ve been successful in running this project for 12 years already and also in finding sponsors in order to be at the top level. The academy has the participants not only from the Czech Republic, but from abroad, too. It shows we do it well. The increasing interest is also the reason we made the camps at two places this year.“

There are 155 children, aged 7 – 15, participating Petr´s Academy this year. It might seem curious but 30 young players come from Chinese province Shenzhen. Except those you can meet boys and girls from the United Arab Emirates, Norway, Ireland or the United States.

Last year two coaches from Arsenal Soccer School participated in Petr´s Academy and showed how they train in the London club under motto: „Play the Arsenal way“. This year they will come again and 5 best players will be given an August one-week stay in Arsenal Soccer School. The football abilities are not enough, they will be judged also according to their behaviour and knowledge of English.

And not to forget, Petr has to start his pre-season preparations in Arsenal on 3rd July. They are going on tour to Australia.
