I might be in pain but my hand made it

"I made the ultimate decision to play after training on Friday. I managed to perform just fine, although my hand is throbbing quite a bit. The physicians left it up to me. I had a special cast and tape on during the game, that's it. They couldn't anesthetise my finger as I need to have feel in it in order to be able to play properly," revealed Petr.
He admitted without hesitation that the game was a painful experience. "Of course it hurts, it's a fracture. But you can still save with it, you just need to suffer through the pain. There were quite a lot of shots on goal but none of them actually hit my little finger. Now that I've survived this, I'm sure I'll be fine to play in the game against Sparta too, unless something untoward happens," he said.
The Blues as a whole managed to deal with Wigan exceptionally well. "Tottenham had won their match against them so we knew we couldn't lose. We're glad we managed it, City lost last night as well, so there's only a four point difference between us at the moment," stated Petr.
"We didn't start out too well, perhaps it was due to the fact that a lot of our players had just come back from representation games in the last minute. Gradually we did pick it up, though, and the first goal really helped us a lot. After half-time we added another one but we allowed our opponent to start catching up right after that. Luckily we ended up scoring two more, which was the main difference from the previous games, we actually used our goal chances," said Petr.
