Petr becomes Czech Footballer of the Year for the seventh time!

Petr placed 85 points ahead of Arsenal player Tomas Rosicky, who was then followed by Vladimir Darida from Bundesliga Freiburg. “To those who change the channel every time they see me win the award I promise I’ll do my very best to do so next year, as well,” said Petr jokingly on the stage.
“Many thanks to those who voted for me. I really appreciate it. You can never actually get accustomed to this feeling as it’s a valuation of my work. It seems I’ve done it well enough considering that fact that I've won the award,” added Petr. Among others, olympic snowboardcross winner Eva Samkova came up onto the stage to congratulate Petr on his victory.
