Petr is getting involved in cycling!

His investment was followed also by shareholders of the SPORT INVEST group. The goal of both new investors is to further improve the organisation and communication of the racing events with the main focus on families with children.
The Kolo pro život series has been held for 15 consecutive years, with 23,000 bikers of all performance and age groups partaking in 16 races total this year. More than 6,000 of those were children up to 13 years of age.
“I had been looking for a promising sports project in the Czech Republic for quite a while; one that I could join and maybe help drive it forward. Kolo pro život is basically perfect in that regard. It’s already made a name for itself, has a solid fan base, is led by a competent team and yet there is a sufficient amount of room for further development,” said Petr at the press conference in Prague.
David Trávníček, Viktor Kolář and Robert Spálenka of SPORT INVEST Marketing are the remaining new shareholders. “I’m an avid cyclist and a Kolo pro život regular myself. I’ve noted a whole number of options as to how the project could be improved in the future,” revealed David Trávníček, chairman of the board of directors of SPORT INVEST Marketing.
“At the same time our company has immense amounts of experience in the field of sport management and marketing. Our vision is to enrich sport as such in every conceivable way - whether it be on the professional or the recreational level. Therefore, we immediately took the necessary steps once the opportunity arose to get involved in the Kolo pro život project,” David Trávníček elaborated.
Petr approves of the idea that said project is to be aimed at families. “Anyone can ride a bike: kids, families, grandmas, you name it. In today’s hectic times it becomes tricky for a family to spend time together properly and these events allow for it to happen. It’s a great way of spending a weekend with your the closest ones,” he admitted.
He has indicated that financial gain is not his primary goal in this matter. “We’re not seeking profit in this project. It’s very unique in its nature and we’d like to see it grow. We’re hoping to see even more people join next time and wish for everyone to have a spectacular time and take part on a frequent basis,” added Petr.
