Petr showed his skills as Chelsea drew at Everton
Chelsea missed the chance to reach the top of the Premier League. Blues played a draw 0-0 at Goodison Park and stayed one point behind Liverpool.
The crucial moment of the match happened on 35 minutes: John Terry was shown straight the red card after the Chelsea captain dived in at Leon Osman.
"He made his decision and we have to live with that, it happens in football. It is a pity because we couldn't win the game. We could be top of the league, but we have to say it was a good point to take," claimed Petr.
Everton were closed to the first win over Chelsea in the last eight years but they did not get over PETR CECH between the posts. In the 75th minute Lampard deflection caused trouble to Chelsea keeper who tipped the ball over from under the bar. After the resulting corner Cech splendidly pushed away Lescott header.
Everton will regret the most the situation from the 84th minute. Big Pete first slowed down Osman's close-range shot, then he got his hands on the ball just before Pienaar forced it over the line. The goal was disallowed for offside, however, there was also committed a foul on the Czech keeper.
"Everton are in good form, they have been playing well recently and they got a good result against Man City last week, so they were in a positive mood and the crowd was right behind them. So it is tough place to come when you play with 11 men and we were down to 10," said Chelsea keeper.
The Blues dropped their first away points this season as their run of eleven away victories was stopped. Even so Chelsea will defend their total away invincibility in the year 2008 at Craven Cottage on December 28.
