The winning streak continues!
Arsenal have acquired their seventh win in a row, four of which were in the Premier League. They beat Everton 2-1 at home, naturally also thanks to Petr’s solid performance. He confidently liquidated Deulofeu’s goal opportunity in the 86th minute and thus ensured the three points would not be leaving the Emirates Stadium.
“It was an essential win against a high quality opponent. It’s good we managed to follow up on our great performance in the Champions League last time and we’ve now got another three points in the Premier League, too,” stated Petr after the win.
He was glad to have helped his team. “That’s what I’m on the pitch for. I’m happy with how I played. In fact everyone did great and more than deserved some support from myself,” said Petr.
Arsene Wenger, too, expressed his words of praise. “We got a bit nervous towards the end, should have scored a third. But Petr made a fantastic save and it’s thanks to him that we acquired three points.”
The Gunners have swung up to the top of the table, are nevertheless still threatened by Manchester City who are due to face their rival Manchester United on Sunday.
