We must win against Juventus, or else we're doomed

In order to secure advancement from their group in the Champions League, Chelsea need to win Tuesday's away game against Juventus Turin. Petr hopes the team will be able to gather up all of their strength and pull through the week.

We have a crucial game ahead of us. If we win, we'll qualify for the next round, but if we lose we'll leave Juventus a chance and we might even drop out completely. A draw would suffice in terms of staying ahead of Juventus in the table, we would then have to win the last match. Nevertheless, it would be ideal if we just won on Tuesday and didn't have to worry about it anymore," said Petr.

The Blues are second in the group, followed by Juventus in the third place. "Juventus have been doing extremely well in home games, they're on a remarkable winning streak. When we played them for the first time, it was one of the first matches of the group, but now the stakes are properly high. They're well aware of the fact that they have to win, from which I infer that it's the opponent who will be under the most pressure," stated Petr.
Things are not exactly going according to plan for Chelsea, as they now have not managed to win in four Premier League games in a row. "All there's left to do is pull ourselves together and make a comeback. That's how we'll prove our strength."
The "week of truth" now awaits the Blues; after Tuesday's Champions League against Juventus match they will face Manchester City on Sunday. "This week may have an impact on the whole season. If we win both games, we'll secure our advancement in the Champions League and move up closer to the top spot of the Premier League at the same time. In the opposite scenario we could just as well have a hard time qualifying, and the first place in the Premier League could slip out of our reach. Perhaps this is even the most important week of the year."
