Petr Wins Czech Golden Ball for Tenth Time

Petr seized the throne once again after a year. Last time, he won both rounds, as votes for the fall and spring seasons are tallied up to determine the overall winner.

“I’d like to thank everyone, it’s another great individual reward,” said Petr. And since this had been his tenth time in the twenty-year lifetime of said poll, Petr received a custom large trophy for his keeping. “I still believe it’s not my last Golden Ball. A football team has eleven players, so I’ve still one to go,” he added with a smile.

“It’s been a good club season, and we managed to secure qualification for the EURO. It didn’t quite go according to plan once we got there, but all in all it’s been a great year,” Petr concluded.
